The Altamura Producers organization participated, as Silver Sponsor, in the “German Fruit & Vegetable Congress 2022“, the one-day event during which the main operators in the sector discuss the most important current issues of the entire supply chain.
The event, which was held at the CCD in Düsseldorf, aimed to give new impetus to the German fruit and vegetable industry through information and networking.
The main issues discussed at DOGK
In front of a rich parterre of over 400 visitors, we discussed the crisis affecting the fruit and vegetable segment, subjected to strong pressures on both volumes and prices. At the center, of course, is the most current issue: inflation and what actions to take to combat it.
But not only that: at the main retail congress in Germany, the most important trends in the sector were also outlined: sustainability, ethics, artificial intelligence, digital are the main keywords that will guide the innovations in the short term (which we had also introduced in the in-depth study on the trends traced by Fruit Logistica) and the sales models will undergo further revisions, becoming more and more cross-media thanks to the integration of online sales platforms and the automation of the customer experience in store.
